About Us

Have you always wanted to own your own beautiful horse, groom it to perfection, ride along mysterious trails, canter across open green fields and jump over any obstacles in your path?

I always did, and that’s why I created The Saddle Camp.

I started planning this when I was 9, saved up my money and registered the business when I was 21, in 1997. You can read all about my adventure here.

And I found that I’m not the only one who has this dream. I can’t wait to share it with you!

Farleigh Arcadia:

Cadie, for short.

13.2hh Australian Riding Pony. 🐴

Cadie is amazing. Athletic, quiet and thoughtful. Soft and quick to respond.

She’s a real “Fun” pony. 🌟 She can carry a rider up to 50 kg in weight.

Champ:

12hh Welsh Pony. 🐴

Champ is adorable. 😍

He loves children, is gorgeous to work with on the ground and comfortable to ride. And he’s also our harness pony.

Steady, smooth and responsive - he’s a Gem. 💙

He can carry up to 50 kg

Destiny:

15.3 hh, 20 yo Quarter Horse 🐴

Jumping, dressage, trails - he’s smooth and responsive. Always fun to ride.

He’s our herd leader, and is incredibly caring of his herd.

He can carry up to 70 kg.

Axl

15.2 hh, 15 yo, Quarter Horse Gelding.

He’s our newest Team Member, but has settled in beautifully. He was bred and trained for Western Pleasure, and Reining classes. He wears a western saddle, so we’ve had to be a little creative teaching you how to jump with him (lots of standing trot work first!).

His halts are awesome, just drop your heels! And he’s very comfortable to ride. But his trot is a jog, and his canter is a lope, so it’s just gentle and steady, rather than wind rushing through your hair like the others.

He can carry up to 70 kg comfortably.

The Faulkners - Blake, Helen, Dexter, Carson and Rob. Our aim is to make sure you have a wonderful stay :)
